House Republicans are rallying together behind President Donald Trump, according to one GOP lawmaker who plans to fight back when the time comes Wednesday for Congress to certify the results of the Electoral College vote.
Republican Rep. Mo Brooks of Alabama gave an upbeat assessment Saturday night of a conference call among Trump and House Republicans who plan to object to the certification by trying to reject slates of electors committed to Democratic nominee Joe Biden.
“The momentum to fight against voter fraud and election theft is rapidly gaining,” Brooks said, according to Fox News.

“And as a consequence, the numbers that we had who were supportive yesterday are almost always supplemented by reinforcements today and the next day,” he said.

Now 715PM & continuing. President Trump & CoS Mark Meadows speaking. Morale is HIGH! FIGHT!” Brooks tweeted about the Saturday night call.
Brooks said he was “confident there will be many, many more congressmen” who join in, according to Fox.
“In my judgment, the primary reason so many congressmen and senators are now coming forward to fight this fight is because so many American citizens have made it known that this fight is critical to America’s future,” Brooks said.
Trump praised Republican Sen. Josh Hawley of Missouri in a Saturday tweet after Hawley declared in a Twitter post that. “It’s time to “STAND UP.”
“So true. Thanks Josh!” Trum wrote.

Hawley was the first senator to say he would push back against certification. Since then, other senators have said they will also object.

Some Republicans have pushed back against the largely symbolic action.
Republican Sen. Mitt Romney of Utah called the plan of GOP senators to object to the vote an “egregious ploy,” Fox reported Saturday.
“The congressional power to reject electors is reserved for the most extreme and unusual circumstances. These are far from it. More Americans participated in this election than ever before, and they made their choice,” Romney said, according to Fox.
Biden won sufficient Electoral College votes to be the winner of the still-disputed Nov. 3 presidential election.
Trump’s campaign has insisted that there has been voter fraud in states that include Arizona, Nevada, Georgia, Michigan and Wisconsin, as well as Pennsylvania. However, despite numerous claims of voting irregularities, including affidavits alleging fraud sworn to by reported eyewitnesses, no court has yet ruled that widespread fraud materially affected the results of the presidential election.
Certification of the Electoral College vote is usually a procedural matter taken up before a joint session of Congress. Only when members of both houses of Congress object does the joint session devolve into two sessions — one in each house — to debate the objections for two hours.
Although the actions of the Republican lawmakers who plan to object does not mean their objections to the election will prevail, it ensures a full airing of objections that day.

This should never have had to get to this point. If the Dems had just let the election continue like it should have, without the cheating, Biden would have conceded, like he should have done, and still should, and Trump who won by a landslide, would be back in the WH without all of these issues of fighting for a fair election, because it would have been a fair election. The Dems just couldnt accept defeat and had to create chaos and commit voter fraud.
There hasn’t been fair elections in some states for years. Do you honestly believe all these blue states are truly blue ? They’re not. Democrats are the minority, if they were truly the majority, they wouldn’t be trying to bring in millions of illegals , give them benefits so they vote democrat. The democrat party has been losing for decades. That’s why they have to ballot harvest and use Dominion and smart-matic voting machines to stay in power in the so-called democrat stronghold’s.
If a party cannot win without lying and cheating, they haven’t won. The Democrat Party is no longer for the American people. Unfortunately, they will dance to China’s tune.
Romney was QUICK to concede to Obama and just as quick to bow down to Biden. Other considerations I have are the courts and how they’ve closed themselves to a review of the evidence of voter fraud. Should be interesting if military tribunals might be considered. Of course there is a whole facet of other “contributing efforts and factors” that would need to be called into play for that to happen. Very interesting how DEMOCRATS were so animated in their concern and disgust for “pay-to-play” only to endorse a candidate who was actually committing “pay-to-play” at several different levels. American justice has become a two tired system. DEMOCRATS can now break ANY law they see fit without recourse.
Mitt Romney, you are a sad representative of the Republican party. It is time to STAND UP for the rule of law. This is the time to stand on your principles for fair and legal elections. We need reforms that will ensure fair elections like ID required as a minimum and paper ballots for tracability. This has been the MOST fraud infested election ever and the democrats know it. We need a thorough investigation by a nonpartisan entity. Unfortunately, the FBI doesn’t fit that requirement anymore. We have succeeded in placing doubt about practically any government agency investigating anything anymore. We need Trump to DRAIN THE SWAMP or all will be lost.
GOD BLESS AMERICA
